Mr Beam axle conversion – now available to everyone

Note: The product itself is not sold out – we simply ask you to send us a short email to coordinate shipping so we can plan accordingly. You can find all further information directly in the product description.

We've successfully tested our logistical processes – and now we're starting the conversion for everyone! Thanks to everyone who sent us so much feedback. It's been a huge help!

From now on you can register your Mr Beam for axle conversion, regardless of whether you are from Germany or another EU country. If you are from Germany, you can also "order" the inspection online.

However, it's best to book the inspection by email so we can estimate approximately how many devices will arrive and when. Purchase on account or by bank transfer in advance is also possible, ideal for public institutions and schools.

Please only contact us if you plan to send the device in right away. This makes it easier for us to organize the process.

How it works

1. Send an email to hello@mr-beam.org with your billing address and request to order

2. You will receive from us:

   • the order confirmation

   • the invoice by email (immediately due, 590 euros including 19% VAT)

   • the shipping checklist with all the important information for you

Processing time

Please allow approximately 7-14 working days from the time the device arrives until the conversion is completed.

Tip: It's best to send the device so that it arrives at the end of the week - renovations usually take place over the weekend.

Please only send in your device if you can avoid it during this time. This is often ideal, especially during the holiday season. Please also understand that it's difficult for us to predict exactly when your device will be serviced. In addition to modifications, we also perform routine repairs and inspections.

Shipping instructions

We only accept devices in their original packaging (OVP) with axle and corner protectors! Without these, damage may occur during transport (e.g., dented corners that cannot be repaired).

You can pack the Mr Beam with Height Extension, but please send it without the frame, key, hose or power supply.

The laser head must be sent along because we need to test the new axis with your laser head.

Special case Switzerland

Please contact us in advance – the device must be sent via Germany.
We recommend waiting a little longer until the initial rush is over.
We may then be able to offer to bring the device directly to you and pick it up again a few days later.

What is done during the renovation?

• Replacing the axle

• Installation of a new ribbon cable and 30-pin cable

• Partial replacement of the electronics

• Installation of the Aruco markers and calibration of the camera

Important tip

Please install the current software version 2.4.2 in advance – this will save us time, as no update is necessary in the workshop.

When is the conversion worthwhile?

• If you want to switch to 20W (the new axle is mandatory because the new head is significantly heavier).

• If you engrave a lot and want to increase your output, the new axis is perfect for that.

Note on the filter

The higher engraving speed means you produce more output – which means your filter can subjectively fill up faster.
If you engrave or cut a lot of wood, we recommend the Air Filter III with 8 times the filter capacity .

Can I return ordered products?

Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Please note that, for example, if you purchase a device, this means that it may only be used for testing purposes during the 14-day period. We reserve the right to charge for excessive loss of value. To test the Mr Beam, we recommend renting it in advance. If materials/filters/accessories have been demonstrably damaged during testing and trying out, we reserve the right to demand compensation

How much are the shipping costs?

Free shipping inside of Germany. If you come from another country, shipping will be calculated during checkout.

What is actually covered by the Mr Beam laser cutter's warranty and what is repaired?

The guarantee covers all repairs that arise from possible production or device errors. This applies to the mechanical components as well as all relevant components, safety devices and software. We must invoice for repairs resulting from handling errors or accidental damage by the customer - as this requires us to use additional and unscheduled working time and spare parts. If you have a problem with your Mr Beam, contact us via our ticket system.
