For customers from Germany, there is also the option to order the inspection directly online. However, booking by email has proven to be effective, as it allows us to better plan for incoming devices. It also enables us to offer purchase on account or advance bank transfer – ideal for schools, universities, maker spaces, and public institutions.

With the new Fast A[x]is, your Mr Beam receives a completely redesigned axis unit, specially developed for higher speeds, heavier laser heads, and maximum reliability.

The original axis was designed for the first generations of Mr Beam laser heads. However, with the new, more powerful laser heads, the demands on stability, acceleration, and precision increase significantly. This is precisely where the Fast A[x]is comes in.

The Fast A[x]is allows for much higher acceleration values and travel speeds. Especially for larger engraving projects, significant time savings can be achieved. For example, you can engrave slate 4-5 times faster with the new axis.

Processing Time

Please allow approximately 5 to 7 business days for processing from the time your device arrives at our facility.

Therefore, only send in your Mr Beam if you can do without it during this time.

Please understand that we cannot always predict the exact processing time. In addition to axis conversions, we also handle repairs, maintenance, and inspections daily.

Shipping Information

⚠️ Important: We can only accept devices in their original packaging, including axis protection and corner protection.

Without suitable transport protection, damage can occur, such as dented housing corners that cannot be repaired.

Please send in:

✅ Mr Beam (preferably with Height Extension mounted)

✅ Laser head (absolutely essential)

Please do not send:

❌ Frame

❌ Key

❌ Exhaust hose

❌ Power supply

The laser head must be included as we use it to test and calibrate the new axis.

Special Case Switzerland

Please contact us in advance. Devices from Switzerland must be sent via Germany.

What is done during the conversion?

During the conversion, we carry out the following work:

• Replacement of the complete axis

• Installation of a new flat ribbon cable

• Installation of a new 30-pin cable

• Partial replacement of electronics

• Retrofitting of Aruco markers (if not already present)

• Camera calibration

• Functionality test and final inspection

Software Note

If possible, please install the current software version 2.6.0 before shipping.

This saves time in the workshop and allows us to complete your conversion faster.

When is the conversion worthwhile?

The axis conversion is particularly worthwhile if:

You want to switch to a 20-watt laser head

The new axis is mandatory for operating the more powerful laser head, as it is significantly heavier.

You want to engrave more and work more productively

The new axis enables significantly higher speeds and provides a noticeable boost in productivity.

You bought a used Mr Beam

The conversion offers an excellent opportunity to bring the device up to date technically and have it comprehensively checked at the same time.

Note on the Filter

Due to the significantly higher engraving speed, material throughput also increases. This can cause your filter system to fill up subjectively faster.

If you regularly engrave or cut wood, we recommend the Mr Beam Air Filter III with its approximately eight times higher filter capacity compared to older systems.

Can I return ordered products?

Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Please note that, for example, if you purchase a device, this means that it may only be used for testing purposes during the 14-day period. We reserve the right to charge for excessive loss of value. To test the Mr Beam, we recommend renting it in advance. If materials/filters/accessories have been demonstrably damaged during testing and trying out, we reserve the right to demand compensation

How much are the shipping costs?

Free shipping inside of Germany. If you come from another country, shipping will be calculated during checkout.

What is actually covered by the Mr Beam laser cutter's warranty and what is repaired?

The guarantee covers all repairs that arise from possible production or device errors. This applies to the mechanical components as well as all relevant components, safety devices and software. We must invoice for repairs resulting from handling errors or accidental damage by the customer - as this requires us to use additional and unscheduled working time and spare parts. If you have a problem with your Mr Beam, contact us via our ticket system.
