Mr Beam II dreamcut [xx] Laser Head with 20W – Maximum Power for Your Projects

The new Mr Beam II dreamcut [xx] Laser Head with 20W is the powerful successor to our [x]-head and is aimed at all power users who want to get even more out of their laser cutter. With its concentrated power, it is ideal for cutting wood and acrylic – precise, fast, and reliable.

Tip: If you only want to engrave faster, then the [x]-head in combination with the Fast A[x]is is perfect. Should you later want to cut more often, you can always upgrade to the [xx].

Upgrade made easy

To operate the dreamcut [xx] laser head, you need the Fast A[xi|s. For safe and clean work, we also recommend the Mr Beam Air Filter III – to keep your workshop free of smoke and particles. Since the new laser head causes a lot of material abrasion in a very short time, the Air Filter II is not economically sensible from our point of view, as the filters become full extremely quickly (with materials with high material abrasion such as wood).

Note: Due to the high smoke development from fast cutting at 100% power, extraction is essential so that the build space is always extracted and the laser thus has the best conditions for cutting.

Software Version

Important: You need version 2.5.0 for your Mr Beam to recognize the new laser head. It's best to do the update via USB stick.
You need a FAT32 formatted USB stick, download the update file, and place it in a folder named mrbeam on the USB stick. Then, plug the stick into your Mr Beam, and it will perform the update. Afterwards, you should restart the software with a hard reload. If you have any problems, you can always contact us via support ticket.

⚡ Check Power Supply

For operation, you absolutely need a 90W power supply. The Air Filter II also now requires an extra power supply. If you don't have one yet, you can order it directly from the shop.

⚠️ Important: The cutting mat is no longer suitable

Due to the increased laser power, the classic cutting mat has no longer been suitable for cutting operations since the [x]-head. Please use as an alternative:

• Mr Beam Cutting Sti[x] or the Cutting Frame (if you have a Height Extension)

🪵 Make sure there is always some space between the material and the base plate to avoid scorch marks.

With the new laser head, it is also extremely important that the smoke can escape (it can ignite). So, place your wood slightly offset on the Stix or the Frame and ensure that the smoke can be properly extracted.

⚠️ Important note on Rotary Mode:

Due to its new size and weight, the Rotary is of limited use with the current metal sheet. Especially for smaller diameters, it is more recommended to use the [x]-head. Due to the higher weight, the head must move slower. We therefore recommend, if you switch the laser to Rotary Mode, to also change the laser head.

⚠️ Working Area

The working area is now 500 x 382 mm due to the size of the laser head.

Can I return ordered products?

Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal. Please note that, for example, if you purchase a device, this means that it may only be used for testing purposes during the 14-day period. We reserve the right to charge for excessive loss of value. To test the Mr Beam, we recommend renting it in advance. If materials/filters/accessories have been demonstrably damaged during testing and trying out, we reserve the right to demand compensation

How much are the shipping costs?

Free shipping inside of Germany. If you come from another country, shipping will be calculated during checkout.

What is actually covered by the Mr Beam laser cutter's warranty and what is repaired?

The guarantee covers all repairs that arise from possible production or device errors. This applies to the mechanical components as well as all relevant components, safety devices and software. We must invoice for repairs resulting from handling errors or accidental damage by the customer - as this requires us to use additional and unscheduled working time and spare parts. If you have a problem with your Mr Beam, contact us via our ticket system.
