What file formats are required when engraving signs?: With the Mr Beam you can use normal pixel-based graphics (JPG, PNG, BMP, PCX) for engraving. If you want to cut different materials, you have to use a vector graphic (SVG, DXF) for it. These can be cut and engraved.
What material can Mr Beam engrave?: The Mr Beam is able to engrave a variety of materials accurately and effectively. This includes types of wood such as bamboo, plywood, walnut and many more. Textiles such as colored and solid fabrics such as jeans, jersey and felt are also suitable for engraving. Paper and cardboard, stone materials such as slate and concrete, rubber stamps, leather in various finishes, acrylic in certain colors, the back of mirrors and dark or black anodized aluminum can all be engraved with the laser cutter.
